I have a 91 Civic Si. Why would the air conditioner speed up and slow down or "pulse" while driving?
(2011-06-10 14:20:21) 1. Says: I recently had a new compressor, dryer and condenser installed. Also, the alternator and battery were replaced within the last year.2. Says: Welcome!Driving while A/C is on: A/c compressor will cycle on and off causing a slight loss of power(speed will decrease). Now if there is a big difference in speed or loss of power and since you have had the A/c worked on, the pressure maybe too much. Go back to the place you had the work done at and have them check the psi for both high and low. Too much pressure will really bring down the speed and power.
Master Tech Lee3. Says: Have the alternator checked. Don't think it's giving enough juice.
Check for battery terminal corrosion too(bad connections).
Did you remove the ground wire off the valve cover? If so put one back.4. Says: probably just the ac working harder or not as hard while your driving5. Says: I don't have a 91 Civic Si. Tag: I have a 91 Civic Si. Why would the air conditioner speed up and slow down or "pulse" while driving?
