Requested Torque Signal Circuit Malfunction c1277?
(2011-06-12 14:20:08) 1. Says: So what does this trouble code mean? My ABS and traction control lights come on every now and then. I took my car in for a state inspection and asked them to pull trouble codes so I could find out what was wrong with my ABS system. All they pulled was a Code c1277 requested torque signal malfunction. They didn't know what the code meant so they didn't charge me :). The ABS and traction control lights only come on once in a blue moon. I cleaned all the chassis grounds that I could find. I cleaned all the ABS fusses (contacts were dirty) and replaced the ABS relay. I the ABS light and Traction control lights have not come on since. Both systems work great. But what does this code mean? Its for a 1996 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI.2. in other words your ebtcm and your pcm were not on speaking terms. if cleaning the fuses and replacing the relay did the trick the ebtcm probably wasn't getting proper voltage Tag: Requested Torque Signal Circuit Malfunction c1277?
