(2010-05-26 23:48:00)
1. Shelby Says: I went 4-wheeling and drove through some mud and washed the truck when I got home. after washing it, it started up just fine, then I drove to a friends house and turned it off. later I went to start it again and it didn't start. I checked the starter wires and they seem to be fine. I checked the battery wires and they also seem to be fine. When I turn the key nothing happens. The lights do not come on either. We pull started the truck so I could drive it home and my lights came on but the turn signals wouldn't work. I also nocked the radio loose while four wheeling and the lights pulsate when I turn it on. Please help.
thanks
2. sak Says: Couple things u can do youself, first off remove your battery and alternator and take them into Advance Auto Parts and they will check them for free. If thtats not your problem do the same with your starter. But first off check your wiring, sounds like something is loose or disconected. ford has a starter that has a slip on syliniod wire and your might have come off.
3. Rachel Says: That's why you should never go muddin'
4. marinechamp1 Says: You either have a dead battery or your alternator has gone out. To check the alternator get the car cranked up. Then remove one of the battery terminals. If the car stays cranked then your alternator is good. If it dies after you remover the battery cable, then your alternator is bad.
