1996 6 cyl. Ford Econoline Van towing capacity?

1. Robert Says: My van is a 4.9L / 6 cyl. engine. I have 15 inch load class C tires. (If that makes any difference) Does anyone know what the towing capacity is? I'm planning on doing a 9 hour drive across the desert to Reno this Friday. 6 guys in the van, all weighing about 200 - 250 pounds each. Plus a light trailer with about 1,000 pounds of load. The show is on, and the plans are set. But am I putting to much on my engine? It's just been tuned up..but still.
