Does my key to my car have a chip in it? Can I make a copy?
(2011-06-16 14:20:11) 1. Says: I just bought a 2000 Kia Spectra. I made a copy and I was wondering if I should have done that. Afterwards, I found out that you should not make a copy of a key with a chip or use the copy you made because it will mess up the transmission. Please help me find out if my key has a chip or not.Thanks!2. Says: I'm not sure about the 2000, but the 2001-2008 Spectra keys were all plain (non-chip) keys so I bet the 2000 was also.3.
