Car boot not closing after minor accident?
(2011-06-18 14:20:04) 1. Says: I accidentally reversed into a brick wall... The damage isn't too bad, no scratches really and doesn't look bad at all. The sides of my rear bumper have popped out slightly and I didn't see this as a big issue...until today.I opened the boot to get something out of it and now it wont close. When I try to shut it, the clasp thing hits the rubber tube that goes around the outside of the boot (for cushioning or something I guess).
It looks like the lock vs the clasp are COMPLETELY not aligned! The only thing I can think is that the rear bumper was pushed in...I would rather avoid a mechanic if at all possible! Any ideas??
Or how much would something like this cost to fix? :(
It's a Toyota Corolla 04 Ascent2. Says: You have pushed in the rear finish panel of your car, it's the part that has the boot striker mounted to it. This is a structural part of your car and should be looked at by a trained body repair technician, do not attempt to repair this yourself.
Impossible to quote a price without seeing the extent of the damage.3. Says: Rent a porta- power and pull/push it out slowly until it aligns. Tag: Car boot not closing after minor accident?
