Could my car alternator be bad even if it passed autozone's testing machine?

First you need the technician training and then you need the proper test equipment. You probably got neither at any auto parts store. That's why you pay automotive technicians at both dealer and independent shops to work on your vehicle. Don't take training for granted.2. Says: relator is in the alternator but the electical to the alt could be th problem if you had the alt tested out of the vehicle. 3. Says: It isn't likely that your alternator is bad, that's what the testing is for.There are many different things that can cause a charging system to work poorly. What sort of problems are you having?4. Says: What kind of car? Does it have an internal voltage regulator?5. Says: check the belts. they could be lose since it was dark and you could not see.6.
