97 GMC Sierra 5.7 PU Heat problem?

1. Jay Garner Says: Southern, NV. outside temps 107° - 108° truck running 210°-237° just changed thermostat and added coolant running same temps.
While driving @ slow speeds it looses power fast as if it were have lost all fuel, and than power comes back as fast as the loss. I have just changed fuel pump 2 months ago. There is a sort of thick red film all over the inside of the cooling sys, ie, old thermostat, radiator, hoses, and the reservoir.
Any ideas anyone?, Plugged radiator?, Stumped over this one, I have done some many repairs and updates this one not sure where to start the trouble shoot.

2. craig nunnally Says: Sounds like the dexcool has broke down and clogged the water pump ports and or the radiator.
