1. bennyyboi Says: Hey guys,

Since installing my subwoofer in my car I've not been able to receive any signal from the radio, my antenna cable is split and was like that when I brought the car...so I've removed the tape holding it in place and one end the gold bit has snapped off, so would I need to create a new bit of gold wire and wrap it around the other wire that has the connector to the CD Player.

I did test it out and it's just a loose connection but someone with better knowledge might know different so that's why I'm posting here :)

Thanks in advance!!!
2. Pete M Says: The best fix would be to simply replace the antennae cable. You may be able to get one at a wrecking yard or have one made up for you at an electronics shop.
3. Bryan B Says: Your local auto parts store should have a replacement antenna cable as well (Auto Zone, Advance Auto, O'Reillys). If you don't really want to rerun the entire length of that cable, you may want to look at an internal antenna from one of the above stores. But if you're really stuck on replacing that connector, you may want to try your local Radio Shack to see if they have one.
