What's wrong with my car? Wheel popping?

(2011-06-25 14:20:25) 1. Casey Jones Says: About a year ago i wrecked my car and had to get a wheel put on. Every since then whenever I'm making a turn it makes a popping sound and the front of my car kinda moves up and down slightly like the axel is moving up and down when i turn. This weekend im going on a trip that will take a total of 10 hours there and back. would it be safe to take my car?2. loonatic72 Says: It sounds like you have a cv axle going out on your car. If you've already been driving on it a year it's probably getting loud and worn out. It would be safer to get it replaced but you may just get another couple months out of it.3. judge me not Says: I had a Car that did that and the tire all most ran off of the Car. It smelled like something was burning. The Mechanic said it was the Axel. I would have it checked before I drove it. That could endanger your life and if the tire runs off it could endanger others.
