1. John Horton Says: My dad said to bring the front right to the lef side in the back, and along with all the rest

so what happens when I just swap the front tires to the back and the back to the front ?

my dad keeps saying its urgent
2. thebax2006 Says: Your old man is wrong. If you cross the tires instead of the correct front to rear rotation you will blow out the belts. Your Dad has never had radial tires?
3. Howard L Says: Some tires must be rotated front to back because they have a preferred direction of rotation. Even if that's not so nothing much will happen other than the possibility of an unequal wear pattern.

Personally I have never rotated my tires. I don't believe it's worth the expense of several rotations compared to the cost of replacing the two tires that wear out first.
4. Levi Friend Says: If you just rotate the tires on the same the tire will wear unevenly. This will cause your ride to become rough, a shutter in your steering, your alignment will be off, and will add a pull to you right/left. But if you do the x pattern it will wear the tires evenly, make the tires last longer, giving you none of these problem, and all around save you money
