Can i make a right turn on a red light?
(2011-06-25 14:20:32) 1. Says: In California can i make a right turn on a four way intersection without any signs prohibiting a right turn. What if there is a car to your left blocking ur way can u creep up to see or should you wait for the green light...i just failed my driving test for doing that...2. Says: Dunno about the right turn. Probably IT was legal on red, but the creeping ahead was not. You failed for a reason: that was very dangerous to do. A semi truck could have slammed into the nose of your vehicle, or a pedestrian might have been crossing the street at that time and might have been blocked by your car.Try again, and better luck next time. You'll get it.3. Says: Im in Arizona use to be in California but I made right turns on a red light.Unless there are any signs forbidding it.Make sure you come to a complete STOP! Dont keep on rolling or anything come to a complete stop,its pretty much a stop sign except with a red light.And dont turn in front of traffic and make sure you get in the far right lane when turning! And if there is a car blocking you,you can creep up but judge your distance on how far you are in the intersection,the last thing you want to do is be half way in the intersection! And make sure if you creep up that there are no PED-X waiting to walk across the intersection.And I dont know why you failed,some people actually do wait for the green light I guess its different here in AZ,ha! Says: if there is no sign prohibiting you from turning right, then you may do so..even if its one of those weird roads where two lanes can turn right. but, if i was taking my drivers test, i would just drive up to it slowly (hoping it will turn green before then) and kind of peek over to see if traffic is coming. but still turn if its clear ;)
