Do you think this is fair? (my first driving experience)?
(2011-06-28 14:25:04) 1. Says: So I got my permit today, and when we got home my mom let me drive through neighborhood. So I got down the first street, and after I turned I pressed the gas pedal, but I didn't know it would be so sensitive! So, I crashed into my neighbor's mailbox, and really it wasn't a big crash, I was only going like 10 mph, but it was kinda crushed. So my mom took away my permit and I'm never allowed to drive again, and I have to pay for the stupid mail box.^do you think this is fair?2. Says: LOL That sucks! Don't worry though she'll get over it. I rear ended my first jew on my permit. Just started on the green lite when a kid stepped into the crosswalk and I didn't see the car in front of me stopped. So I just tapped him. When the cop kept asking the guy if he was hurt all he said was "I pray I'm not hurt". He was wanting to sue. The cop put no in the accident report, and about 3 months later we received a letter from a lawyer I was being sued. Folks threw away the letter and never heard anything again. As long as the homeowner doesn't sue you you'll be fine, unless of course they are jewish and try to sue for mental anguish.3. Says: I think making you pay for the mailbox is an appropriate reaction, but she should only take away your permit for a month or so. Never being allowed to drive again? That's a bit harsh. You need more driving experience to prevent accidents like this, so I think your mom should take you out to a parking lot or a deserted area to drive around so you can get used to the sensitivity of the gas pedal and whatnot, and just get a feel of driving in general. I hope this helped! c:4. Says: Well.. about the paying for the mail box part, of course that part is fair, so it's fair for another person to pay for your mistake?
And as for the permit, Nah, and she might be just saying that to warn you or like, so you'd becareful when she gives it back5. Says: LOL Tag: Do you think this is fair? (my first driving experience)?
