1. ALotLikeVegas Says: Let's just say my parents won't buy a car for me. Am I able to buy a car if I'm 17 and have enough money for a down payment on the car, plus I can make payments for it? Like, can the title be in my name? Thanks.
2. Shinigami Desuzakiddo Says: You can buy it but you won't be able to acquire a title,you need your parents for that

No and no. You have to be a legal adult to sign a contract, which I am pretty darn sure a seller who's allowing for payments (or for a loan) would ask you to do. You're welcome.

P.S. Like mentioned, you can't title a car because:

1. A minor can't insure a vehicle in his/her own name;
2. Said vehicle can not be registered without insurance
4. DIGG Says: Yes you can. You will have to look towards craiglist and private owners and pay them the cash up front.
You will run into problems later on like insurance and registration that you will need some one over 18 to handle for you.
