Is it bad form to change your oil in the street?
(2011-07-01 14:20:21) 1. Says: If you're parked in front of somebody else's house? My neighbor from three houses down moved his car directly in front of my house to change his oil. Of course, there is oil all over the place now, though he promises to clean it up. Is my wife right that I'm overreacting, or was that a pretty lousy thing for him to do?2. Says: MOVED it? You mean there was an actual open space in front of his house while he drained oil in front of yours?Oh my.
If you didn't punch his lights out you are not overreacting. He HAS to clean this up, and I would interpret anything less than a concurrent apology and excuse from him , however lame, as open hostility.3. Says: Anyone causing an adverse affect to the Environment is responsible under the Environmental Protection Act to report and clean up any spill. This is a chargeable offence and should be reported. so why did he pick your house to do it? He should have cleaned up his mess right then. In emergencys Ive rebuilt broken motorcycle engines in motel rooms and never left one oil spot for them to deal with.
He sounds like you should raise a little hell with him. YES ITS BAD FORM!5. Says: He better have a good excuse for doing that. I'd be upset, and even more so if he got oil all over the place. If he dumped the oil on purpose, I'm pretty sure that's illegal, and you could potentially report him for that.6. Says: Thats a crazy thing to do...call the local council they will clean it up and fine him..you are not overreacting friend...7. Says: Terrible, and also very likely against local ordinances.8. Says: Terrible~9. Says: lousy10. Says: Bad neighbor call the EPA11. Says: thats pretty crappy - i would be pissed12. Says: YES~13. Says: yes!! Tag: Is it bad form to change your oil in the street?
