(2011-07-01 14:25:07) 1. Says: My Mom is Disabled and she needs someone to carry her to the eye doctor at least once a month , its in town and im a really good driver i started at 10 Driving up and down the drive-way and eventually ( this year ) going to the store for her and getting different items . With her in the car most of them times and going by myself recently . I have never been stopped i obey the road signs and speed limits . I have passed many cops and never been stopped . She does really need help going to and from the eye doctor and regular doctors , sometimes she can drive sometimes not . and When she can't i drive her home . It's at least 20 miles . And this is only when they Dilate her eyes i think that's called . So we live in alabama and i have researched it i think they say you can get permission but i really want to know .2. Says: Take your mother with you with all her Drs. papers saying she needs you to drive. You can ONLY drive while she is in the car with you, you cannot even go to the store by yourself. You must also be listed on the insurance papers.Just because you have never been caught doesn't mean you will not or that it is OK. Doing what you are doing is against the law & if you get stopped & ticketed it will mean NO lic. until you are 21. Bad news!!3. Says: really depends on the State, in most cases you need to be in a very rural area with no means of public transportation, even then the restrictions are very strict.4.
