Nissan altima runs very smooth but have check engine sign code P011 . how long can i drive in this position ?

1. Dinesh Says: P0011 is intake valve timing control on a V-6 and 4 Cly motors. Is the oil clean and correct level? Then there are the what IF's What if the timing chain has jumped a tooth? what if the oil was neglected and the Intake Valve timing solenoids are sludged up? I would say if the timing of the intake cams is not changing (for power and emissions) that may cause lean running and that may lead to cat converter failure. Check Engine Light means to have the engine checked out. NOT DRIVE ENGINE LIGHT. Support your local auto technician Good Luck
