How to get through a 16 hour car ride alone?
(2011-07-08 14:25:05) 1. Says: I'm going to be taking a trip to Louisiana to visit a good friend of mine. Im going to be on my own so what are somethings to help me get through the non stop drive?2. Says: bring some good music, or you could even get a book on tape, and put it in the cassette or cd player, and it would be read to you while you drive3. Says: 1. Good Music that you can crank up - no ballads2. Crunchy Snacks
3. Stopping every few hours to stretch, wake up and refresh yourself (at SAFE rest stops)
4. Audio Book version of a book you've been dying to read. Since you're so interested in it, it will keep you listening.
5. A back up plan to stop halfway if you don't think you can make it the whole way. Pick a place that is about half way or 3/4 of the way that you can stop for the night if you get too tired. Do your research on the area ahead of time so that you know you'll be ok on your own. Pick a place that has plenty of hotels in case you don't want to make a reservation. That way, if there are no vacancies at one hotel, you can easily choose another.4. Says: Sunflower seeds. They keep your mouth busy and keep you awake.5. Says: Satellite radio FTW!6.
