Some lights on 2000 Maxima suddenly not working. What do I do?

1. Mixom Says: I was messing around with one of the lights in the passenger fold-down mirror (I don't know what it's called). The bulb sparked, and suddenly the courtesy, dome, and some other lights also blacked out. The power locks stopped working, and upon further inspection, the trunk light is also not working. The other major functions (i.e. headlights, tail lights, dashboard lighting, ignition, license plate lights) all still work.

I read up on this issue, and it appears to be common. It could involve either fuse #13 or something called the SECU. I am not sure which is causing the problem or burnt out. Does anyone know what to do?
2. fixed it Says: Youve blown a fuse...check under the hood for the fuse box..there could be a spare in there...otherwise take the blown fuse to an autoparts store for a new 1 or 2
3. widget_1010 Says: It sounds like you blew the fuse. Replace it, and if you don't know what you're doing don't mess with it.
4. Kms Pathinder Says: check your fuses in the dashboard fuse box find busted 1 replace sparks typically overload circuit, make it short and blow fuse to prevent damage
