Warrior Says: I know car microprocesor help to work things such as the air and fuel flowing into the engine, the timing of the spark that ignites explosions that move the pistons and even the distribution of that power to the appropriate wheels to prevent slipping or add boost. Do you believe in the future cars will depends more upon computers or not?

salemcripple Says: yes, unfortunately. Computers are good for a lot of things, they increase efficiency and such. But when it comes to reliability, and repair-ability, they're FAR behind anything mechanical. When a machine breaks, all one has to do to find out what's broken is look at it. When a computer breaks, well then it could be a whole list of problems, with no real way of telling what exactly it is. Your only option is to replace the whole damn part. It's already gotten to the point where things that have no business being computer operated are (door latches, and windows, and such). As already said, one day, we will be able to just punch in a destination, and the car will do the rest. This will be a sad day for people like me. I drive because i actually WANT to drive, I enjoy it. Otherwise i'd just take the damn bus.

ocularnervosa Says: The day is coming when you plug in your destination to an on board computer and then just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Jacob A. Lee Says: I dread the day cars no longer require human interaction to control. You cant race a computer on wheels.
