Can I abandon my towed car in Louisiana?

(2011-07-23 14:25:07)
1. Phong Says: My car was towed in Louisiana about 2 weeks ago because I parked in an apartment complex that I did not live. There is no lien, I bought it 5 years ago. That is a very old car with very high millage, many wrong functions. I don't want that car any more, can I just leave it as that. I have a friend in same situation, and he said after 2 years no one even come to him.
2. thresher Says: Yeah tell the tow co that they can have it.
Tell them no leins.
3. Jessica Snook Says: Its just going to get taken to the impound lot and if it isn't picked up in a certain amount of time they will crush it. If the car is not paid off then you will still have to make the payments regardless of whether you still have the car or not if it wasn't sold or traded. If you have zero payments on it then just consider it gone.
4. ken k Says: mail them the title and the keys/then walk away
5. Stopthehateandstartloving D Says: yes
