1. Jobie Says: Looks like the power steering hose busted and all the fluid came out on a 2001 Sonata
2. whocares Says: Probably not all that unsafe, just not all that comfortable. It would be hard to steer.
3. taylor g Says: Just replace the hose and add more fluid, If that is all it is, you don't have to be a mechanic to fix it. Besides, if you had an accident because you couldn't handle the car as it should, you will get into more trouble then it's worth.
4. Rudy Says: They did it back in the day, though your arms will get pretty tired if you are driving a long way or making alot of turns. You will definately put yourself in a greater risk of getting in an accident, I would replace it before you drive it again.
5. fst_edy66 Says: It probably would'nt hurt the car but it'll be hard to steer which could make it unsafe for someone that's not use to no power steering.
6. Caleb Stegall Says: Technically no. Its extremely hard to handle and it all depends on the car also.
7. Josh Pierson Says: It should be, but it will just be hard to turn.
