My low beams don't work but high beams do?

1. epidemik Says: It's a 96 Suzuki X90. I've checked the fuse under the hood and it is fine. Someone mentioned a relay may be the culprit. I've also read that this will be under the hood as well but I can't find it. Would there be secondary fuses in the car? The panel is missing so I don't know which fuse is which but I guess I could check them all. I've replaced the dual filament bulbs and it didn't solve the problem. I'd like to find the relay to try to clean the contacts.
2. Dino Dave Says: The easiest thing you can do first off it get a test light and see if the socket is even getting power when you have head lights on and if not than you can do further research into relays, and fuses and wiring etc. Using a test light will help narrow down the problems very quickly. Also check the fuse socket with a test light to see if that is getting power as well if the actual headlight socket for the bulb is not.
3. djaca70 Says: Go for the simplest, and that is what you are doing, then consider the switch.
