What Brand of BOV should I buy?

1. Josh Says: I have a Subaru wrx , and I want to buy a BOV for it. Whats the best for the money?
2. hello i'm a wrx Says: Don't put a BOV on an otherwise stock WRX. all you will get out of it besides the sound, is a shittier ride. They are not worth any bit of money you spend on them, and for the 300 bucks they cost, you can get something so much better that actually produces something. Only reason I have one on my car is because i had it left over from my turbo integra. And as a matter of fact, I'm getting ready to take it off because the car runs noticeably worse with it on, including almost stalling out everytime I start the car. So unless if your running an aftermarket turbo, and pushing quite a bit of boost, don't waste your time. But personally I think the HKS SSQV is the best one on the market.
3. I <3 my Suby. Says: Stock or one that can be 100% recirculated. Most aftermarket BOV's will cause idling issues plus is not good for the engine any time you let off the gas. Don't know if you already know this but I'll write it anyway. The stock bypass valve releases the air back into the intake whenever it purges. For some reason they rout it back after the MAF so there is no way to meter this air so the ECU is programmed to automatically add fuel whenever this happens. When you switch to a BOV, it releases the air out into the engine bay which sounds good but the ECU doesn't know this and still adds fuel. Over time this can be bad for your engine and catalytic converters if you still have then because the unburnt fuel can melt the material in the cat.
4. mueller283 Says: i agree with all of the above, unless your pushing well over the stock boost with an after market turbo. i just stick with the stock one or buy a recirculating
