Shawn Says: The clutch really needs an adjustment, usually about 50-100 at a trans shop. It doesn't take long and will ensure you don't grind out the trans or burn up the clutch.

roadawg Says: Check for a frayed clutch cable. A new one about $35 (O'Reilly) make sure you get the one with the WHITE nylon firewall retainer like your factory one. If you get the black plastic one it will break and pull through the firewall. Then, you'll get to install the warranty one when the parts store has to eat the defective unit.
