I would just like to know which transmission car I should learn how to drive?

I would just like to know your opinions, I think that it is more simpler to drive an automatic car but I am still unsure, should I opt for an automatic or a manual car [stick shift]?

Please explain and HONEST answers only.

2. Just Passing By Says: Learn manual.

Anyone who has played a video game can drive Automatic, but the first time you are driving a drunk friend home or have to rent or whatever...and are stuck with a stick you can't drive you will regret not learning.

Anyone can drive Automatic...learn to drive stick.

3. uberwinden Says: I drove Manual stick for like 8 years and then switched to automatic. No doubt automatic is a hell lot easier to drive. But again if you're a performance freak, you want more control over acceleration, go for manual.
But it's hassle to drive manual in heavy traffic. You keep on shifting gears which involves pressing the clutch pedal with your leg plus moving the stick.
so if you drive more often in heavy traffic, I'd say go for automatic.

PS: Manuals are fuels savers too :-)

4. vrsicks Says: It's always beneficial to learn on a stick shift. You learn how to drive stick and you can drive any other car on the road.
