I need the dl on tire sizes?
(2011-08-16 14:20:08) 1. Says: I'm trying to buy used tires for my 04 Toyota Highlander SUV.They're P225/70/r16 size..I can't seem to find any with those exact numbers but I remember someone telling me you can differ a bit in some of the numbers and they will still work..but I'm confused so someone help me??:)2. Says: the 225 is the width in mm. 70 is the aspect ratio of the sidewall height, so the tires are 70% of 225mm tall. 16 is the radius, so the rims are 16" across, that's the one dimension you cannot change. Slight changes to the aspect ratio will rarely impact anything significantly. The width can change a bit but you don't want to go too far off. In my experience somewhere between 10 and 20 mm will still be reasonable although not ideal.3. Says: Then you aren't trying hard enough. If your local tires stores are too incompetent to help you there is always the internet.
