Im not sure if my Taurus' alarm is working?

1. It's a Firefruck Says: `99 Taurus. It has the original remote keyless entry with trunk release. I press the lock button on the remote twice, horn honks and lights flash like they should. But if i open the door without pressing the remote button, the alarm doesnt go off. Isnt it supposed to? My power locks dont work so i have to lock them from the inside manually, then i press the lock button on the remote. Or if i reach in and unlock it manually and open the door or trunk, no alarm goes off. ????

2. Patrick Says: try this leave the window down and shut doors and lock with the remote and the go over and reach inside and open the door it should go off. it a passive system

3. roc/WLA Says: hey FIRE ? dont get me wrong but hahaa no one realy wants a ford tarus let alone steal one cause of this alarm system as its just eazer too sleep at nite this choice ride is locked manualy yes at best a key works fine ?? rite ??
