There are many great two-seaters that are available out there. However, I would recommend doing further research about the Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky. They are both affordable cars and are sporty. You will have to check with your insurance company about the cost of insurance, but maybe the savings that you will have from the initial price of the vehicle will justify the cost of insuring the vehicle.

GM Customer Service3. Chuckles Says: Pretty well all 2 seater cars are sports cars except maybe for the Smart car. Though when I owned a Miata it I paid the same for insurance as I did for a station wagon. And the Smart costs Mercedes-Benz prices for repairs.
