Did the guys at this body shop lie about bondo work for a small hole ?

Says: I have a medium size rust hole in my minivan.Its on the rocker panel and he said by the time all of the labor and new parts and so on is added ill be out 5,000 dollars... is he yanking my chain ? this seems drastic.2. Says: rust is the wort thing to fix body wise . an he dident want the job so blewyou off with a high price3. Says: just to patch a small hole and they want 5000 bucks? no way i would pay that. heck you can patch it yourself cheaper then that. just get a small can of body filler, take some duct tape and put over the hole, mix up the putty, smear it over the duct tape, let the putty get hard, sand it down smooth, put primer over it and paint it. he has to be joking with you.4. Says: Always get a few quotes, I have had several jobs done and the quotes have always varied significantly.5. Says: hes yanking something6. Says: Five THOUSAND ??
