How do you remove half shafts from 95 ifiniti g20?
(2011-08-29 14:20:14) 1. Says: Ok.....Support the vehicle, remove the wheel, bearing nut, caliper and rotor.
Disconnect the outer tie rod end.
Remove the upper knuckle nut, and seperate the knuckle from the third link.
Put the axle nut back on the tip of the axle shaft and tap it lightly with a brass mallet or something soft enough that it won't damage it. If the axle is difficult to move, use a puller or other suitable tool to get it through the bearing.
Using a flat heat screwdriver, or small pry bar, pry the axle away from the transaxle until it pops loose. Be careful not to damage the CV boots if it's being reinstalled.
If your car has a manual transmission, do the other side the same way. If it has an automaitic trans, then you'll need to drive the other shaft out through the differential usina long screwdriver. In other words, tap it from the inside out, through the hole that the other shaft came out of.
Hope this helps! Good luck Tag: How do you remove half shafts from 95 ifiniti g20?
