04 Jeep grand cherokee rough idle white smoke?

Says: So my girlfriend says when she starts up her jeep sometimes white smoke pours out the tail pipe and it smells weird and it idles really rough and the rpms bounce.Ive drivin it 2 times since shes said this (its been going on for a week) and its drivin fine for me both times. I thought head gasket, but her oil looks and smells fine, she hasent lost any coolant, the coolant looks normal, and we are both stumped. White smoke means burning coolant, right? So what could this be?2. Says: Generally white smoke is because you're getting coolant in the cyl. White smoke is coolant, You should smell it from the exhaust.
But it is easy to mistake white for gray smoke, sounds to me you have a terrible vacuum leak.
If there was coolant in the oil, it would look like a chocolate milk shake. Or if there was oil in the coolant you would know also.
