1. ClevelandCudi Says: Looking at a 1999 Audi A4 on craigslist for about 4 thousand dollars it looks amazing only thing is it has 150 thousand miles how many more do you think it can last?
2. Michael Smith Says: I am also in the market for a good used car and wondered the same thing. For many cars, 100,000 miles seems to be the start of the latter half of the car's lifetime, which is when things begin to break and wear out on some cars. I also know that Audi did have some problems in the past, which they did not fix until fairly recently, so that is definately something to consider. I would personally be very careful buying a car past 130,000 miles, but it really all depends on how well the car was cared for, was it maintained, how many owners it has had, why the current owner is selling it, and how long you plan to keep it. Also, always take the car to have it proffesionally inspected by a mechanic for rust and general condition, ie. what kind of work or repairs it may need, its worth the $100 or so and if the seller refuses even if you agree to pay the fee, WALK AWAY.
