1. Keith Says: When this engine runs for 10 minutes, it bogs down when you give it gas. Let off the gas and it smooths out. We've replaced two carburators, two solenoids, and two fuel pumps. it now has a Holley carb, and we've installed an external fuel pump, and bolted it to the fender well. Now it squirts gas out of the carb relief valve and leaks everywhere. Any ideas?
2. Van Bo Says: Intake manifold is plugged like you wouldn't believe! Remove, and run a chain though it or have it hot tanked. Check the vacuum somewhere, in a hose first. Oh, sometimes the exhaust manifold valve is stuck shut leading to upper exhaust, the heat riser valve, on these old things. I've seen that before, though it's before my time.
3. suicide pinto Says: external pump has to much fuel pressure for the system, check youre points.replace or set the dwell, then the timing in that order.set it to the factory specs.
