1. john s Says: it will start if i spray ether in thr carb... and will start on its own the rest of the day
2. apoorapothecary Says: I would suspect you're getting fuel leak-down through your carb overnight - assuming you're correct that it is a carb we're talking about here. You can get leakage out of the carb into the intake through faulty seals, or even a porous carb body. The leak, if present, is slow enough that it causes a no-start condition after several hours of sitting, but it isn't so severe that it would cause you a problem during the day (especially since the engine is warm and the fuel leakage would otherwise vaporize.

If its a throttle body, like the other post mentioned, it can be a leak off the rail, but more likely it'll be a leaking injector pintle - one of the injectors fails to completely seat, and drips out all the fuel until the pressure bleeds fully out of the line.

The reason it doesn't start first thing in the morning is the poor initial pressure and what is essentially a flooded, cold engine.

Check the line pressure to see if its low. If you're daring, try holding the butterfly open (with a screwdriver or such) as the truck is turned over to see if it'll start or try to start with the extra air (be aware that you can get a backfire through the carb and stay away from the moving stuff!).
3. Hardy J Says: Pressure regulator at fuel rail leaking, loosing pressure over night.
4. Mark Says: its cold its a 97 there is no carburetor so pouring fluid doesnt do ****
