Matthew O Says: Can anyone offer any ideas on what may be the problem? I have the headlight switch set to auto and while driving the headlights and dash lights go on and off and stay off then I will flick the switch back and forth and they will go on then off then on again and sometimes stay on. This does not happen all the time but 3 times in the last 3 days.

Feel along the side towards the outside of the car for a small button protruding from the flat sheet metal side of the switch. Push the button in & at the same time pull on the knob on the switch, & the knob should pull out of the dash, and a pointy 3" shaft with it. Then, there are two small notches on the bezel ring around the face of the switch - Tap a screwdriver placed in one of the notches & unscrew the bezel. With the bezel off, the rest of the switch should fall backwards inside the dash cavity, where you can fish it down & unplug the wiring harness. Get a new switch, screw on the bezel & tap it kinda tight, then just slide the knob & shaft into the switch. The pointy end of the shaft will snap past the button you pushed to get it out. Tight fit if you have big hands like me, but not brain surgery.
