1. Max.K Says: i recently bought a little scooter off my cousin, and he said he hasnt used it in like 4 months, and whenever i start it up it takes waay too long, it is a pull start. but then when it gets going i can start it up in 1 or 2 tries. it takes roughly 10-30 mins to start up. and once it is going sometimes it makes this clicking noise when its on low revss, and then turns off. plz help!!
2. Chris Says: Should probably do a regular tuneup that comes with age/use.

Rubber hoses deteriorate, air filters clog and fall apart, fuel goes stale.

You should start with the least expensive fixes. You can get carb cleaner in an aerosol can that you can spray into the fuel mixture or into the carburetor and it will clean the carb while your running it. You can go online and search your engine model and order the sparkplug for it, take off your air cleaner, if it's not dmfalling apartment you can just hit it against your hand and knock off a lot of the debris stuck in it. You can go to a local home improvement shop or mower repair place and buy a couple feet of fuel hose. Then all you have to do is cut it to size and replace the fuel hoses with new lines exactly where the old one went.

The biggest thing to do is clean up your carburetor from gummed up fuel.

If you want to get more in depth you can buy a gasket kit for your carb and clean it thoroughly. Getting all of the jets and other orifices as well as insurance an tight seal so that the engine can efficiently place vacuum pressure in order to deliver fuel.
3. Bryan Says: My guess valves or need a rebuild, but it could be a gunked up carb ...Whenever you crack it, trying to get it started put your hand over the tail pipe...if theres not much pressure coming out when ya turn the motor over, its time for some new rings! But hope ya figure it out GOOD LUCK
4. John Says: at the very least you need to change the spark plug and probably clean the carburetor--if you can't do this then take it to a scooter shop and pay the man
5. taxpayer Says: look for a primer bulb
