Buyen a nice (fast) car cheap $3,000?

Says: ok so im going to go out and say i dont know to much about cars right now but im learning but any whomy mom is giving me $3,000 to buy a car...god bless her....back on point i was thinking of buying a 1999 gtp Pontiac supercharger im pretty shere it gos fast (something like 240 hp and gos 0-60 in 6.7 seconds) at least for the amount of money i have and is easily modded and fixed
but what i was wondering are there any othere cars out there that would be better yet not to expensive to buy????

Take someone who knows a lot about cars! If you are about to buy-get it looked at by a mechanic! Better to spend $50-$109 to kniw what you are buying then $3000 on a lemon! I have actually seen a few decent cars in the $2500 range. You can probably look at cars up to like $4200 and negotiate for your $3000. Make sure u get the title signed, etc. Again trust no one. Cars are notorious for biting people i the butt. Usually you get more car from a regular seller selling a car than a dealership. My advice is forget the speed, etc. The first thing you need is a reliable car that starts gets u around and is safe! Speed and looks abd extras like speakers, etc are gonna be scarce in yout price range. $3000 and under is a very small amount of money for a car. I have had loys of cars. From $1200-$45,000. The only thing that matters is how it runs. You dont want a car that could drive fast if it worked, had parts, etc. You will have ti eventually buy parts, etc for this car and it probably will need certain repairs. But try to stay awy from major repairs. The mechanic can tell you how much money you will need o put into the car in the near future. Also, check the kelly blue book and read articles about cars on edmunds. Youre right it can be done-but carefully! If you are a younger person make sure mom or dad helps you!
