C-dog69 Says: Ok, a family member wants to give me there 1993 Jeep Cherokee with 309,000 and it has been sitting since its last inspection in Aug, 2009. I know that its has a lot of miles but I also know that they bought if from a currier company that drove it mostly on the highway and when they got it, it had 250,000 miles. My ? is, is it worth taken and putting some money into it to make it a daily driver or am I better off just buying a new used Jeep. I know that the in line six in these jeeps go a long time, but what kinda money am I looking at to get it going?

John Says: the price for the Jeep is right(nothing -lol) so put maybe 500 -1000 bucks in it and drive it for 2 years for total cost investment of 250-500 per years of usage not counting insurance, fuel, oil changes etc.--just depends on if you want to put up with the occasional problems an 18 year old vehicle is going to have

dangerII Says: I had a jeep wrangler for a short while and discovered it turned out to be a money pit and I discovered what jeep really stood for junk each and every part.
