Is this a reasonable repair bill for a car?

It needs: "Left, Right Front Strut Assembly /or/ Strut Mounts", "Complete Rack & Pinion", Tie rod ends.

Price: $20002. BigeQ Says: That is a lot of work and the parts you need are not cheap especially the rack and pinion unit, the struts are about 200 each and the mounts up to 100 each, tie rod ends are only 30-40 bucks if that so not much there.

I would say you have about 800 to 1,000 bucks in parts maybe more and about 8-10 hours work at 85 an hour or so so I would say for all this work not to mention an alignment in there it is a fair price to pay.
