My brakes feel like they aren't catching, like there is no pressure.?

1. Jonathon Says: I was driving the other day, and i heard a knocking noise coming from the front end of the car, sorta below my feet, the drivers side. I was pretty sure it was the drive shaft. Anyways, while u was driving, all of a sudden i hear scraping on turns, and something breaks and my steering wheel goes really crooked, and the brakes wouldn't catch. When i got home, i took off my tire, and the outer end of the driver shaft that goes into the roter had broken off. So i replaced that and the steering knuckle. But now my brakes still feel like there is no pressure, there are no leeks or anything, and the brake pads are fine.

Pleeeease help, somebody!

Thanks in advance!
2. bandit_60 Says: if there is no pressure then it must be a bad master cylinder.
3. emz Says: I don't know very much but maybe you need to bleed the brakes or need brake fluid.

As your driving keep tapping brakes for a wile see if it helps also.
4. dan d Says: I would think you might need to replace your flex line going to your caliper. It could of stretched causing the hose to be compromised and maybe budging when your pressing your brake pedal
5. pedro7of9 Says: bleed brakes,,,just cause u dont see fluid leaking doesnt mean theres no leak,,if AIR is leaking in pedal will get soft,,,maybe bad master cylinder
