What does castor oil in my gas tank do?

1. Dan Says: Caught a kid dumping a bottle of it into my car, now I don't want to start it because I don't know if it will do anything.

Mauro Says: fuel has many detergents in to which can be used to clean oil off. first install a lockable gas cap. second find out way then did it. now i would drain the tank and get most of the oil out of the tank to insure it does not create blockage in my line, fuel filter and so on. that would be the save root. you can get some tank cleaner or something that is a fuel additive and pull that in with a full tank and take a chance.

3. Randy Boley Says: your fine. sometimes a little oil in the tank helps lossen up the rings and valves. but i would go fill up my tank with fuel any way....make him drink about half the bottle next time . that will give him the sh&%#.

Oil will sit onto of the petrol. Oil and petrol separate like Oil and Water.

5. pedro7of9 Says: 8 or 16 oz will have NO effect on 15/20 gallons of gas,,if ur tank isn't full...get 5 gal,,put in,,drive to gas station and fill her up
