What color should I paint my car?

1. Nick Says: I just recently bought a 2000 Dodge Neon. Its a bit beat up and needs fixing and a paint job but I cant decide what color to choose. I tend to like more solid colors not too flashy. I was thinking like an off white cream color or black...any suggestions?

2. Mike Says: Dark colors, such as black show all defects and dirt. If the body is a bit rough light colors are the best to hide defects and dirt. Your local body shop will confirm what I am saying. They can also help you with deciding the best color for your car. After all, they paint cars all the time and know what looks good on a particular car.

Lighter colors are also easier to keep clean and to wax.

Black (while it looks great) will show every imperfection, and will show dirt or dust very quickly.

If you've ever seen a shiny black car that's dirty, you know what I mean.

Otherwise, the choice of color is completely up to your mood - keep in mind that moods change on a daily basis. So choice one that will not conflict with your temperament..
