I'm a bit confused about driving?

1. Sasha'Lou Says: when you stall the engine do you have to;
1) turn the engine off, apply and handbreak then put the gears in neutral
or
2) put gears in neutral then apply the handbreak then switch off
2. champer Says: The "official" method is handbrake on first, then gears to neutral, then start the engine. That's what an examiner would expect to see. In practice, however . . .
3. who_is_jack_**** Says: As Champer says, handbrake first (to stop it rolling), then into neutral so you can restart safely. Once you pass your test that goes out the window if you stall.
4. johnlovestaylor Says: Why would you want to stall the engine? That's bad.
5. Martome123 Says: dont turn anything off....heres what i do ..swear ... clutch down.... crank.....gas pedal ...... 4 WHEEL DRIFT.......try to aim.......hope......thank whoever u like.....grin...by then im usually at my destonation......sorry ... DONT WORRY YOU WILL PASS.... remember ....stay carm..... OK its logic thats all sweet...handbrake(as we no longer have control)and dont want to roll back.. ok shifter neatral... as we dont want to smash into vehiche in front.. and then crank to restart the engine..... so its HANDBRAKE ,,,SHIFTER / NEATRAL ,,, CRANK or as we say in UK START ENGINE. obove all dont panic
6. ken k Says: on stick shift hit the clutch and then the start switch and go/automatic/neutral and then restart and then go
