3. soup ignorant Says: You did not specify what year or model. 90-99 come in either FWD or AWD, GSX being the one with AWD. 2000+ do not have an AWD option. Unless the model says GSX (or TSi AWD for Eagle Talons) it is a FWD.

As far as snow, AWD only improves your traction under acceleration. It's not going to prevent you from slamming into a curb when you hit the brakes on ice. The single best thing you can do is run the recommended tires for winter.
