Can u start a chevy 1500 without waking up your parents?
(2011-10-07 14:15:07) 1. Says: Their bedroom is about 50 yards away from my truck. Everything is stock. No loud exaust. I tried pushung it but i have to go up hill and its in grass/sand/gravel so it wont budge plus it has a full tank of gas. I have a 4wheeler i could possibly pull it with but it is realy loud2. Says: Roger - Quit assuming he's under-age...Lets take in consideration your 16 or over and have your License...
And that your NOT Sneaking-out like the dumby above assumes...
And that you just don't want to wake them up out of their Sleep. [My Dad was like that - He could hear Everything, and it would wake him up]
You [Most Likely] don't wanna wake your parents, because they hate being woke-up cause they have to work, and probably don't sleep that well...
ANYWAYS!! -
You will need to Ask yourself the Following Questions:
A - It the Muffler in Good Shape?!?
B - Does it sound Loud when it Starts??
C - Is this YOUR Truck?? If so, then they shouldn't mind you going somewhere...
If the Answers to these Questions are: A - Yes, B - No, and C - Yes, then lets move on...
Otherwise, FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!!! 8^O
You have to be Careful not to Wake them, so here is what you need to Careful & Slowly do:
1) Unlock the Door slowly... When you Open it, do it very slowly.
2) MOST IMPORTANT!! Do NOT Close the Door!! Pull it in so that it just Latches, as it would when it's 'Not Closed all the Way'... This will make little to no noise.
3) When you start it, make sure you let it run for about 10-15 seconds Before you put it in gear.
4) When you put it in gear, do NOT Accelerate!! Let the truck move without even Touching the Throttle first. If it does not move an inch, GRADUALLY press on the Gas. DO NOT press down any further than it needs to move ~1-2 MPH...
5) Let it Gradually pull out of the Driveway, and DO NOT press on the Gas, until you are more than 100 feet away from the end of your Driveway.
Keep in mind, you say this is your Truck, and I would assume you have your License.
