Car Paint: How much to have car painted/body work done?

R1980 Says: We have a 64 Caddy that we need to get painted, some minor body work done (dents and dings) and a vinyl roof put on (not convertable)....roughly, what might this run?

Andy Says: Nobody can answer that.There are too many variables.In auto body work you get what you pay for.Good quality body work and paint is expensive.Your best bet would be to go get a few estimates and look at the quality of the shops work.If you want a guess i'd say between 3 and 5 thousand for a good job.
