It's a maintainance reminder light. They will turn it off for you AFTER they change the oil.3. Says: The early service lights were notoriously touchy - coming on for momentary emission hiccups, etc. But most are pretty reliable now and usually mean something is wrong. I had a Chrysler that would set-off the light frequently - no one could find the problem - the code # was for a defective EGR circuit. After 2 years, it was finally found to be a loose vacuum hose buried behind the engine - was fixed for free. You make the call: fix it or ignore it. The "Car Talk with Click & Clack" show had a call a couple weeks ago - - - vehicle with 200,000+ miles, "Check Engine" light had been on for over 2 years !!!!! Then it suddenly stopped running. Big surprise.4. Says: Put a plaster over the light so you can't see it.5. Says: Try fuel injector cleaner (1 bottle in full tank). Don't use more than 1 bottle in full tank.
