Has anyone used a big car or SUV for a road test?

You can use any street legal car you want as long as it is registered and insured (you will have to show proof of both before taking the test and they may require the person the car is registered to be present at the time). You'll be required to perform the same tasks as any other driver that goes there (pulling into a space, backing into a space, parallel parking, highway driving, etc...), but I've never heard of not letting someone use a larger car or truck for their test.
Like I said, as long as the car is in good mechanical order (all lights working, turn signals, etc...) and it's got tags and insurance you should be fine!3. Says: Your short answer is no, they won't let you. However if you have learnt how to drive in an SUV and have only ever driven one (which I highly doubt), you might be able to persuade them into letting you use it. However you have a higher chance of them letting you take it in a Lamborghini, I recommend you just book a car with them for the road test. Also while you're on your test try to get stuck behind slow moving vehicles and at intersections that take along time to get through. They won't mark you down and this will greatly reduce the amount of time you have to fill during your test. Remember it's only 45 minutes so try and go as slow as possible without getting marked off for obstructing traffic.4. Says: Hello Shay Gustave,
Unfortunately, I don’t have any information specifically regarding Driver’s Training Tests.
I can speak from my own experience in taking that test years ago. I learned to drive on a pick-up truck, but opted to drive a borrowed smaller car for my test (easier to maneuver for parallel parking and such). I would recommend whatever vehicle you take the test with that you’ve practiced with it and are used to how it operates and handles.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
