Bad wheel-bearing symptoms?

1. Sgrrsg Says: would a bad wheel-bearing cause my car to vibrate at speeds 60-75mph?

2. Hudy Says: Let me give you most possibilities,
(1) unbalanced tire, easy, alignment can fix it
(2) wheel bearing loosing, Dillion has taught you how to check it
(3) loosing tie-rod end, sorry, if lucky, just tighten it; but most likely, you need to replace it

90% vibration are from above 3 causes, Dillion provides 2, I add one more.

3. Dillon Says: Yes, and an unbalanced wheel/tire will cause that, too. Jack the car up and see if you can wiggle the tire up&down/side to side. If it does this bad, then you need a new wheel bearing.

4. bandit_60 Says: yep it can if it,s too bad. also a ball joint, tie rod and if the tires need balanced also.

5. IUCW Says: Yes,the balance of the wheel goes off alignment which could cause it to vibrate at certain speeds.
